“Supervisor of Amirkabir University of Technology Visits Coastal Campus of University and Industries in Hormozgan Province”

The head of the university, during a one-day trip, visited the coastal campus of the university in Bandar Abbas.
According to the public relations office of Amirkabir University of Technology, during this trip, Dr. Rahaei visited the educational, laboratory, and logistical infrastructure of the university in Bandar Abbas and emphasized the need for revitalizing and upgrading the infrastructure, attracting faculty members stationed in Bandar Abbas, as well as paying special attention to the concerns of the employees and faculty members stationed in Bandar Abbas.

Dr. Rahaei also met with Engineer Mehdi Dousti, the Governor of Hormozgan, during this trip. In this meeting, the future plans of the university in the coastal campus in Bandar Abbas were explained to the Governor by Dr. Faiz, the head of this campus, and various aspects of these plans were discussed and reviewed by the participants.
The university president emphasized the strong determination of Amirkabir University of Technology in developing effective educational and industrial activities in the coastal campus in line with the needs of the province. He proposed the establishment and activation of a high-level strategic council for the coastal campus of Amirkabir University of Technology and invited the Governor of Hormozgan to join this council, which was warmly welcomed by the Governor.
It is worth mentioning that the Governor of Hormozgan, who had previously emphasized the necessity of maximizing the utilization of the university's capacities and capabilities by the southern regions of the country during his presence at Amirkabir University of Technology in Tehran, presented his plans in the field of higher education and engaged in discussions and exchanges on this matter.
Finally, discussions were held regarding two industrial projects in Hormozgan Province in the field of mining equipment production and metal recycling, which were proposed by the university.
During this visit, an overview of the university's macro policies in the southern regions of the country was initially provided, and the pivotal role of the Bandar Abbas campus in the university's development in the maritime axis of the country was emphasized.
The comprehensive coastal campus of Amirkabir University of Technology, established in Bandar Abbas in 1365 as the 9th faculty of the university under the name of the Faculty of Marine Engineering and Maritime Industries, was upgraded in 1401 to support the scientific and technological development of the maritime axis as the comprehensive coastal campus of Amirkabir University of Technology. Currently, in collaboration and coordination with various faculties of the university, it provides educational and research services to the southern coasts of the country.

During a short visit to Hormozgan Province, the university's acting president visited one of the most technological industries in the country in the field of construction and repair of submersible vessels and its achievements. He emphasized the necessity of expanding bilateral communications and collaborations.
